There appears to be an out right frontal assault on medical cannabis user’s constitutional rights in this great country of ours! As medical cannabis has spread across this land, the full court press has seen local and federal government’s encroachment on the rights of patients to freedom of speech, right to own a firearm and their rights to life, liberty and their pursuit of happiness.
When did I sign away my constitutional rights as a medical marijuana patient? Where are my constitutional rights to LIFE, LIBERTY and the PURSUIT of HAPPINESS?
Montana’s house and senate passed SB423 earlier this year with the intent to REPEAL the will of the people they represent. As part of this new law, patients or providers could no longer use their 1st amendment right, to freedom of speech, for advertising their cannabis related products or services. After a courtroom showdown, a number of the provisions where temporarily enjoined on the grounds that they were unconstitutional, the advertising band being one of them.
When did I sign away my constitutional rights as a medical marijuana patient? Where are my constitutional rights to LIFE, LIBERTY and the PURSUIT of HAPPINESS?
The federal government has gone after doctors in the early day of the medical marijuana movement during Bush II, they have attacked land lords under Bush II and Obama, and now there is an out right attack on patient’s right to PROTECT themselves!
When did I sign away my constitutional rights as a medical marijuana patient? Where are my constitutional rights to LIFE, LIBERTY and the PURSUIT of HAPPINESS?
Now, if you are a patient in a state that recognizes the medical use of cannabis and you are registered with the state, you can no longer buy a gun or ammunition! Yes, if you have a medical marijuana card you can not own a firearm of ANY kind! The federal government has reduced our standing as American’s due to our CHOICE of medication! I am wondering if those patients federally recognized by the U.S. government to use marijuana through the federal medical marijuana program are excluded from owning a firearm.
